As we begin 2024, the legal market in the UK shows signs of great optimism, but is still dealing with some clouds of uncertainty. Corporate clients largely expect their spend on outside counsel to increase, practices such as ESG and risk management are gaining in importance, and buyers of legal services in the UK are increasingly relying on outside counsel for specialist expertise. At the same time, many questions swirl around the rising prominence of technology within the practice of law, including questions from clients about how their outside law firms are appropriately using technology on the client’s behalf and how transparent the law firm will be around their use of AI.

This session features a panel of experts exploring the findings of the latest State of the UK Legal Market report from the Thomson Reuters Institute. Join us for a data-driven examination of how UK law firms are performing in the early stages of 2024 and what may lie ahead for the remainder of the year and beyond.
