Kenneth W. Johnsen has held various positions within Shearman & Sterling LLP since joining the firm in 1998 and is currently the firm’s Executive Director Finance and Chief Operating Officer. Kenneth is a formal member of the firm’s Executive Group and works closely with the firm’s executive leadership to identify and implement firm priorities globally. Kenneth’s functional areas of emphasis include benefits, finance, information security, project management, real estate, technology and other operational areas.

Kenneth began his career in public accounting and, prior to joining Shearman & Sterling, held financial management positions in both publicly and privately owned organizations. Kenneth earned a Bachelor degree with specialization in Accounting from Hofstra University and holds CPA Professional designation in the state of New York.

Mary Alice joined Thomson Reuters in November 2017 and leads both the Human Resources and Communications functions. She has over 20 years of experience working in senior human resources positions at leading international organizations. Previously, she served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for L Brands, a portfolio of retail brands with nearly 90,000 associates. She has also held senior roles at Loblaw Companies Ltd., Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart Canada, and Chapters/Indigo. Mary Alice is a Director on the board of the Business Development Bank of Canada where she chairs the Human Resources committee.

Alex DiLeonardo is a Partner based in McKinsey’s London Office and is one the Firm’s global leaders in its Talent and People Analytics service lines. Alex advises client organizations across industries as well as McKinsey’s internal people function.

Examples of his recent work include: Developing a talent matching and sourcing system to support the digitization and reorganization of an Asian financial institution; Creating a retention plan for a US heavy manufacturer based on individual-level employee attrition predictions; And, creating achievable diversity and inclusion targets as well as a details, multi-year execution plan for a global pharmaceutical company using labor-market and organizational-specific workforce forecasts.

Alexander earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and his Master of Science degree in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.

Howard Janis is the Chief Operating Officer for Nexsen Pruet, LLC. He guides the firm's efforts of Financial & Operational Oversight and Client Pricing including partnering with clients to help provide value and certainty.  

He brings more than 30 years of Business, Finance, HR, IT and Facilities Management for professional service companies with an emphasis in Law Firm Pricing, Business Analytics and Client Accounting.  Prior to Nexsen Pruet, Howard was the Director of Strategic Pricing and Analytics for Denton US, LLP and McKenna Long & Aldridge, LLP.   He has also served as the Director of Finance and Chief Compliance Officer for Buckhead Capital Management, LLC a Registered Investment Advisor. 

Howard is one of the first Accredited Legal Pricing Professionals (ALPP).  He has participated in several panels on pricing and partnering with clients to make the RFP process easier and more efficient.

Neil has worked at Thomson Reuters since 2002. He has held various roles within the organization, including, Managing Director for Legal Canada, Australia & New Zealand, Head of Strategic Customers and Solutions, and Senior Vice President of Global Account Management.

Prior to joining Reuters Canada, Neil practice Corporate Finance and M&A Law for almost 8 years at Goodmans LLP in Toronto. He has his Law Degree from McGill University, a Master’s Degree in Modern History from St. Antony’s College, Oxford, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College, University of Toronto.
