Paul is a lawyer with a background in business, IT and finance that specialized M&A and project management on large corporate transactions before taking on his current role as Stewart McKelvey’s first Chief Innovation Officer and Partner. Paul oversees the Firm’s process improvement, pricing, and legal project management functions. He was instrumental in the development and ongoing support and maintenance of the Firm’s intranet, document automation platform, profitability model, financial dashboards, and partner compensation process. Paul offers consulting services to the Firm’s clients in process improvement, application development, and document automation and to other law firms in financial data analysis, profitability modelling and partner compensation redesign.

Bill Josten is Manager of Strategic Enterprise in Thought Leadership for the Thomson Reuters Institute. Bill consults with law firms nationally on issues related to law firm profitability, pricing and cost recovery. In previous roles with Thomson Reuters, Bill worked as a senior legal analyst, in account management with several large law firms, and as a Reference Attorney. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, he was an attorney in private practice, an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, and a clerk at the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
