She has represented creditors, court officers and debtors in a variety of complex insolvency matters, including CCAA proceedings, receiverships, proposals, bankruptcies, and foreclosures. Stephanie continues to be a frequent speaker on insolvency issues. She has been recognized by her peers in Best Lawyers in Canada 2020 and 2021 in the area of insolvency and restructuring

Matt McCulloch

Matt McCulloch is a Partner and Senior Vice President within EY-Parthenon (EYP) in the Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy (TRS) practice, focusing on corporate restructurings and insolvencies primarily within Western Canada. Matt co-leads EYP’s Alberta TRS practice. He has been providing restructuring services to business in financial difficulty for over 20 years and has experience in a broad range of engagements, including large corporate bankruptcies, receiverships (private and court appointments), proposals and CCAA applications for various companies from numerous different industries. Matt has also helped thousands of individuals navigate through personal restructurings and insolvencies. Matt is a Licensed Insolvency Trustee, Chartered Professional Accountant and member of the Insolvency Institute of Canada.

Lydia Salvi

Practice Lead, Practical Law Canada, Finance

Lydia Salvi joined Practical Law Canada after practicing as a senior transactional lawyer in the Financial Services Groups of Baker & McKenzie LLP and Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP, specializing in corporate and commercial lending in Canada, the United States and internationally. Lydia represented financial institutions, funds, aviation financiers and corporations in acquisition financings, asset based financings, syndicated financings, private equity investments, equipment financing and distressed investing. Lydia is the former Chair of the Business Law Sections of the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association. She is the Co-Director of Programs on the Ontario Network Board of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC). Lydia is Practice Lead of Practical Law Canada’s Finance Service.
