Thomas J. Lyman, III is a partner at Smith Amundsen working out of the Chicago office. He has 35 years of experience as a trial defense lawyer handling personal injury and property damage litigation. Tom handles commercial, product, construction, professional and premises litigation along with health care litigation. Tom also handles cases involving discrimination, false arrest, and malicious prosecution. Tom manages the case from start to the conclusion, either by trial or a successful settlement. Tom is Co-Chair of the SmithAmundsen’s Trial Evaluation Committee and instructor in the firm’s Trial Academy with weekly seminars for new attorneys. In addition to his legal practice, Tom is involved with Gilda’s Club of Chicago, a national cancer support organization. He speaks to medical students at local hospitals on the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer.
