Steve is the General Manager of Global & Large Law Firms for Thomson Reuters. Prior to his current role, Steve was the Head of Canada for Thomson Reuters, serving law firm, corporate, government, academic, and tax & accounting customers in the country. Steve has been with Thomson Reuters in strategy, product, and marketing roles for 13 years. He worked on the launch of Westlaw Edge and Westlaw Precision, as well as the acquisition of Practical Law and HighQ. Steve and his family live in Toronto, Canada. He is an active community volunteer, endurance athlete and outdoor enthusiast.

Carter Cousineau

Vice President, Responsible AI

Carter joined Thomson Reuters as the Vice President, Responsible AI and formerly was the Vice President of Data and Model (AI/ML) Governance and Ethics. In this role she is responsible for the strategy, development and execution of the enterprise-wide governance and ethics programs, leading a global team in advancing the technology industry with best-in-class ethical practices. She extends into shaping the future of AI through her involvement with the NIST’s AI Safety Consortium, as an advisory board member at the University of Toronto’s Data Sciences Institute and International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). She has a proven track record of creating, developing, and scaling centers into highly profitable operations. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Carter was the Managing Director for the Centre for Advancing Responsible and Ethical Artificial Intelligence (CARE-AI) at the University of Guelph. Carter has worked with a number of international technology start-ups, as well as provided managerial experience to not for profit, SMEs and Fortune500 companies in enterprise markets. She is completing her PhD in Computational Science from the University of Guelph and holds a Masters in Technology and Innovation from McMaster University.

Terra Rebick

Deputy General Counsel, Customers and Commercial

Terra is Deputy General Counsel, Customers and Commercial, for Thomson Reuters globally and is also a member of the senior leadership team for Thomson Reuters Canada. Terra graduated from the University of Toronto Law School in 1999 and was called to the Bar in 2001. Prior to law school, she graduated from McGill University in 1996.

Terra is on the Executive of Legal Leaders for Diversity, an organization of general counsel, committed to promoting diversity in the workplace and on the Executive of Women General Counsel Canada.

She joined Thomson Reuters from Hill+Knowlton Strategies, where she served as SVP and General Counsel. She previously had stints with Corporate and Technology Groups at Toronto based law firms, Bennett Jones LLP and Torys LLP. Terra is a frequent speaker on issues relating to the legal market and the legal profession, including on diversity and inclusion and legal technology.
